Our Company Started in the Netherlands
In 1939, a Dutch high school teacher and sports coach by the name of Roelof Postmaa took his senior class on a trip to France. The students had a wonderful time and more trips followed. Subsequently, the parents of his students asked Mr. Postmaa to organize a trip for them. These early beginnings seeded the tour operating business now known as Image Tours.
Image Tours in the U.S.A.
In 1960, Mr. Pestmaa's son, Roelof (Rudy) Postmaa Jr., opened an office in Grand Rapids, Michigan, to offer affordable European tours to Americans. In 2002, Rudy passed along the management of Image Tours to his daughter and son-in-law, Monique and Mike Kasmauskis. In 2023, ownership and leadership was transferred to Patrick and Beth Mcintyre, preserving the Image Tours tradition of being a family owned and operated business.

While traveling with Image Tours you will stay in many family owned hotels; visit popular landmarks as well as unique sites; and engage in culturally significant experiences. Image Tours helps you immerse in the local ambiance while also being mindful of your comfort, with care given to details such as thoughtfully planned menus and requesting water be placed on tables at meals (which is not customary in Europe). Additionally, Tour Managers, hotels and other service providers are specially trained to facilitate smooth and comfortable check-ins and departures at the hotels. These are just a few examples of the behind-the-scenes details that create the "vacation of a lifetime."
